HUVI is now a registered charity!

We are delighted to announce that we have received charitable status from the Canada Revenue Agency. All donations made after January 1, 2025 are eligible for a tax receipt. (Registered Charity Number 749935748 RR001.)

What is Needed?

Financial donations are used to support the needs of our arriving guests, such as grocery cards, emergency shelter, and subsidizing childcare and English classes.

How You Can Help

We can accept financial donations of any amount via e-transfer to donate@ukrainehelpvi.ca by credit card or by cheque.

We gladly accept donations of grocery cards to distribute to Ukrainians for the following stores: Thrifty Foods, Fairway Market, Save-on-Foods, Superstore/Loblaws, Wal-Mart, Quality Foods, and Country Grocer.

Donation of Goods:

We are unable to accept general donated items as we have nowhere to keep them. Our partnering thrift shops, including the Salvation Army, also support newcomers by providing opportunities to shop, so donating to thrift shops is a fabulous way to support those in need.
